Representation matters

Today I want to share with you one of my absolute favorite YouTube channels. It isn’t horror or writing themed exactly, rather it’s two of the internets best dads watching films.

Alan is a film-maker who needs therapy and Jono is a therapist who loves movies.

I’m sharing them with you today because I was rewatching some of their back catalogue and came across a video they put out that ties into a topic that is close to my heart.

You may have noticed I have been guest posting a bit lately talking about the importance of realistic, plausible and valid representation in the horror genre. Particuarly around mental health and disability. This is a topic I explore in A Man in Winter and also it will be the focus of my PhD.

Well, Alan and Jono beat me there.

I’d love to hear what you think, please comment below.
